Grades of hamstring strain
Hamstring strain, which is often referred as a pulled hamstring, by definition is an excessive stretch or tear of muscle fibers and related tissues.
Grade 1
Feeling of spasm or tension with a slight sense of pain while stretching or contracting the hamstring
muscles.
Grade 2
By a grade two of a pulled hamstring there is instant pain which is harsher than the pain of grade one strain. It is established by hurt on contraction and stretching of the hamstring. Elastic in muscle fell can also point to grade two.
Grade 3
A grade three strain is a harsh injury. With grade three there’s instant stabbing or burning pain while walking is only with painful hamstring. The hamstring is entirely torn and there can be present big swelling of muscle tissue on top of a position where hamstring is teared.
A couple of days with injured hamstring graded three and two a big bump can appear lower the injury position caused by the hemorrhage inside the muscle tissues.
